Simple Stories Baby Steps Journal

I made this album as a custom order for a special couple that are about to go on an awesome adventure of trying to start a family. This gate-fold album measures 8" x 6" each side and has lots of pockets and tags for journaling.

I used seam binding on the cover to attach the title plates.

I made a little booklet for two 4 x 6 photos and titled it "Can You Believe This Was Us?"

I placed a larger pocket for some little notes.

Here is a pocket for photos.

Lots of spots for journaling. Also a tri-fold pocket or baby names.

Manila folders for all kinds of journaling or memorabilia for baby.

Helpful Tips

1. Don't take on big projects.
Big projects can be overwhelming and end in frustration. Stay small and simple in the beginning and work your way up.
2. Purchase only what you need.
Don't try to buy all the crafting supplies you desire at once, simply buy for your project that you are planning to make.
3. Purchase a neutral color.
When buying stain, chalk and ink, choose a color than can be used frequently such as a brown or black. Purchasing a lot of colors can be expensive.
4. Use coupons.
For high dollar items, such as the cropadile, use Michaels or Hobby Lobby coupons (usually 40% off) when available and if you have a store in driving distance.
5. Relax and enjoy yourself.
Scrapbooking should always be fun. If you make a mistake, simply scrapbook around it. Nobody knows that it was a mistake but you.
